I’ve always had a passion for making people feel good about themselves. As a makeup artist, and hair stylist, I fell in love with the glowing smile and extra confidence my clients would feel when they get up from my chair. Some, left ready to take on whatever challenges they were going through at the time. Others, got that extra motivation they were looking for to take action towards their goals we'd spend time talking about together.
Originally from Peru, my family and I migrated to the United States when I was 8 years old. I've had to adjust and adapt in many ways. From understanding a new culture and learning a different language, to creating new friendships and finding ways to fit in. My journey from a young girl to a woman, in a new country, proved to be one of the largest challenges of my life. A challenge that both made me both a more confident person, as well as passionate about helping others. Especially, young women.
When people feel like they look their best, they feel their best. When they feel their best, they tend to do their best. This is the inspiration of my business and brand, Style by Norka. A dream of mine, turned into reality, so that I can share it with you! As women, we are powerful, even alone. But, we are strongest when we support and encourage one another to be the best versions of ourselves we can be.
